Limited to just 2987 bottles in its first release, this legendary whiskey is named after one of America's most famous gunsmiths—Henry Deringer. Reputedly crafted from a mash bill of 70% corn, 26% rye, and 4% malted barley, H. Deringer is sourced from the renowned MGP distillery of Indiana and aged for a minimum of 2 years in virgin charred American white oak barrels. The result is a small batch bourbon with a silky smooth finish.

The Philadelphia Deringer was a popular concealed carry percussion handgun in the 19th century, often associated with assassins due to its small size and easy availability. John Wilkes Booth fired the most famous Deringer used for this purpose in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The term "derringer" became a common name for these types of handguns after repeated misspellings in reports about the assassination.
