Product Description

It is well known that Roger Maris (1934-1985) did not attend card show signings or appearances. He passed away at the young age of 51, long before those came into vogue. Consequently, the Maris autographs extant are a result of ones obtained in person or through the mail. However, autographed baseballs were generally a result of meeting him in person, presumably at a special game or event. That is just one indication of how rare a Maris-signed baseball is to locate.

Such is the case here. Maris passed away in 1985 after a protracted battle with lymphoma, and long before those mass signing sessions became popular. This one somehow survived the horrors of attrition and remains in the very finest condition. A fortuitous event indeed.

If you are searching for a great piece of Yankee memorabilia that is scarce and in top condition, look no further. This is a "showoff " piece. Brigandi Quality and once sold "will be lost to the hobby". It's accompanied with the all-important letter of authenticity from the JSA Company.
