Taken in 1951 (Mantle’s rookie year) at Yankee Stadium, the image showcases sports’ biggest rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. This would be the only Major League season to feature all three perennial all-stars, as DiMaggio went on to retire following the Yankees’ 1951 championship campaign.
