Antique "Pirate" Liquor Bottle or Flask // c. 15th - 19th Century
Product Description
An early modern “pirate type” liquor bottle / flask! A Post-Medieval ceramic bottle, c. 15th - 19th Century AD, the body rounded with small flattened area on one side to enable it to lay flat, and central grooving. The neck is long and tapered to a rounded rim which would have been fitted with a cork. H: 7.5”. It's not difficult to imagine a rugged buccaneer taking a swig from this bottle! Although there is absolutely no evidence that it was ever owned and used by pirates, it is an iconic liquor bottle of the time. Light deposits overall, and various notes and tag labels from the past hundred or more years in antiquities collections. A more modern cork is sealing up the spout.
